Dear Sir or Madam
Notification of Improvement Works to the Noise Fence on the A38 at Rawson Green, Derbyshire
Following on from my previous correspondence, I am writing to update you regarding the above scheme. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to delay the planned start date.
When will this work take place?
Work will start on Monday, 24 June and be completed by Friday, 16 August.
Please note that all our planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
How will it affect traffic?
To minimise inconvenience to the travelling public, we will carry out the majority of our works overnight from 8pm to 6am, Monday to Friday. To maintain a safe environment for our workforce and motorists, the southbound carriageway will be closed between the A610 (Ripley) and the B6179, Derby Road, (Coxbench) while we work.
To minimise disruption to residents, we have planned for our noisiest work to be completed between 6am and 8pm on Saturday 29 June and Sunday 30 June. We will close the nearside (lane 1) on the southbound carriageway during this weekend. Lane 2 will remain open, with a speed restriction in place for safety reasons.
During the night time road closures, we will put in place fully signed diversion routes which have been agreed with the local authority. All carriageways will be open as usual outside of our working times.
We apologise for any disruption the roadworks may cause you. We will do our very best to complete the work as quickly as possible, keeping disturbances and noise to a minimum.
